Vintage punk from 1979. Spasmodic Caress were a hugely successful live band playing frequently in and around East Anglia, as well as supporting the likes of Bauhaus & In Camera. Spasmodic Caress were also briefly signed to 4ad and contributed the track "Hit the Dead" to the "Presage(s)" mini album. The track "Hit the Dead" has subsequently been covered by US punk band the Spitz. Fragments captures the original Falling A release of the Hillside sessions as well as the 4ad sponsored gig at the Rock garden with Bauhaus. This is a truly authentic historic release.

"This is the winter darkness" was originally scheduled for release in the mid 1980's when the insane picnic were causing a stir in the underbelly of  the independent music scene and what was becoming known as cassette culture. Intended to be a vinyl LP but unfortunately it was nver finished. Though the album is made up largely of unfinished recordings, rough mixes and demo's you get the picture of the chemistry and intensity of the band and can hear the hybrid mix of influences which range from their post punk contemporaries to the underground and more experimental end of rock music of the late 60's and early 70's.

Small Packages is the second release on the Six Armed man label and is comprised of archive recordings with new treatments and instrumentation and new recordings with sounds from the vaults thrown at them cunningly mixed and blended ready to be shipped in Small Packages.
