The Classification series was a hugely popular collection of cassette releases. Each of the four tapes contained 30 minutes of experimental music and carried a 90p price tag (20 years ago). You can hear feint Durutti Column, 23 Skidoo and other influences of the time. Was it anything to do with General Kustard? We're not telling you.

Electronic Ambient Kraftwerk Yes Vangelis
Price:
£7.99

The debut LP from General Kustard aka ex insane picnic member Owen Turley. A diverse collection of electronic excursions, that range from the melodic and rhythmic to sound pictures that inhabit altogether darker territories.

BBC Radiophonic workshop, Delia Debyshire, Analogue electronic music
Price:
£7.99

The first release on the Six Armed man label is hopefully a statement of intent. This release is experimental without being unlistenable and suitably challenging to take the listener beyond normal scopes of what may be termed as generic music. A refreshing approach to delivering new music to our ears and excellent visually stimulating packaging too.

Price:
£8.99

This album is the first album of new material by former insane picnic frontman Barry Lamb since 1991's "Seven Secrets". "Experimental music that will challenge your listening boundaries. This album is stark but with an ambient undercurrent. Influences are far reaching, as experimentalists such as Beaver & Krause, John Cage, Harry Partch & Amm meet alongside more contemporary elements such as PiL, Eno, Can and the industrial scene of the early 80's".
